Configure application.properties
spring.mvc.view.prefix = /WEB-INF/views/
spring.mvc.view.suffix = .jsp
spring.mvc.static-path-pattern=/resources/**
server.port=9596
Configure Spring MVC
package com.demo;
import org.springframework.context.annotation.Bean;
import org.springframework.context.annotation.Configuration;
import org.springframework.web.multipart.MultipartResolver;
import org.springframework.web.multipart.support.StandardServletMultipartResolver;
import org.springframework.web.servlet.config.annotation.ResourceHandlerRegistry;

registry.addResourceHandler("/resources/**")
.addResourceLocations("/resources/");
}
@Bean
public MultipartResolver multipartResolver() {
StandardServletMultipartResolver resolver = new StandardServletMultipartResolver();
return resolver;
}
}
Entities Class
Create new package, named com.demo.entities. In this package, create entities class as below:
Product Entity
Create new java class, named Product.java
package com.demo.entities;
public class Product {
private String id;
private String name;
private double price;
private String photo;
public String getId() {
return id;
}
public void setId(String id) {
this.id = id;
}
public String getName() {
return name;
}
public void setName(String name) {
this.name = name;
}
public double getPrice() {
return price;
}
public void setPrice(double price) {
this.price = price;
}
public String getPhoto() {
return photo;
}
public void setPhoto(String photo) {
this.photo = photo;
}
}
Create Controller
Create new package named com.demo.controllers. In this package, create new controller name ProductController as below:
package com.demo.controllers;
import java.io.IOException;
import java.nio.file.Files;
import java.nio.file.Path;
import java.nio.file.Paths;
import javax.servlet.ServletContext;
import org.springframework.stereotype.Controller;
import org.springframework.ui.ModelMap;
import org.springframework.web.bind.annotation.ModelAttribute;
import org.springframework.web.bind.annotation.RequestMapping;
import org.springframework.web.bind.annotation.RequestMethod;
import org.springframework.web.bind.annotation.RequestParam;
import org.springframework.web.context.ServletContextAware;
import org.springframework.web.multipart.MultipartFile;
import com.demo.entities.Product;
@Controller
@RequestMapping(value = "product")
public class ProductController implements ServletContextAware {
private ServletContext servletContext;
@RequestMapping(method = RequestMethod.GET)
public String index(ModelMap modelMap) {
modelMap.put("product", new Product());
return "product/index";
}
@RequestMapping(value = "save", method = RequestMethod.POST)
public String save(@ModelAttribute("product") Product product, @RequestParam(value = "file") MultipartFile file,
ModelMap modelMap) {
String fileName = saveImage(file);
product.setPhoto(fileName);
modelMap.put("product", product);
return "product/success";
}
private String saveImage(MultipartFile multipartFile) {
try {
byte[] bytes = multipartFile.getBytes();
Path path = Paths.get(servletContext.getRealPath("/resources/http://learningprogramming.net/wp-content/uploads/java/spring_mvc/" + multipartFile.getOriginalFilename()));
Files.write(path, bytes);
return multipartFile.getOriginalFilename();
} catch (IOException e) {
return null;
}
}
@Override
public void setServletContext(ServletContext servletContext) {
this.servletContext = servletContext;
}
}
Create View
